The elusive double rainbow

Last week I showed my progress on my HST quilt that has come to be known as "Love is like a Butterfly"
I'm a huge Dolly Parton fan and I could not resist a quilt with butterflies and in rainbow scraps being named as such

I still have to square up my HSTs from last week and I may decide to make the quilt larger in which case I'll need to sew a few more anyway; but for this week I decided to work on my "Charming Rainbow" quilt it is from flutter.kat's blog

I have used charm squares instead of the 4 in ones that she calls for but otherwise I've followed her plan

I had started this quilt last year but it is to easy  to follow along with the colour of the month when it works out :)

Here is my blue charming rainbow block

Here are my 3 blocks laid out together

To see how everyone is doing with the scrappy projects thy chose!

  1. I finished my pickle dish blocks for the month so I think I am going to try your charming star block this week. I like the idea of one block of each color very doable. Yours look great!

  2. I love these blocks... Thanks for including the link!

  3. I love your star blocks, and the HST quilt top is gorgeous!

  4. What a great collection these blocks make together. It will be such a fun quilt.

  5. I love these blocks! I think I'll steal your idea for next year :D

  6. I've seen these blocks elsewhere and love them. Guess I'll have to try them myself one of these days.

  7. I love those star blocks... I may have to try some this year.

  8. Oh I found the link...really love these blocks! Going to have to read you regular now that I found you via RSC!

    1. Glad you found it I love it bacause the squares are big enough that you can almost use some of the blocks as an I spy quilt it's also a quick block which is nice and it's quite large too
